78 K5 - D44 internal snap ring removal problems

    congrats, they can sometimes be a pain, especially if they are covered in alot of grease. I like to use a smalle flat screw driver to get under it then turn it 90* then a pick to pull it out.

    Thanks. I used a Q-tip to get the muck out. I think I had some erroneous terms in my original post (which I tried to delete so I wouldn't waste anyone's time). Then I used a small flat screwdriver to keep the ring from spinning, and pried it out with the pick at the ring opening. I couldn't believe that it finally came out. We started this project last night!

    Let's see how much more fun I can have with this!

    New rotors (warped) and bearings (just because I'm in there). Just bought it in February, and it needs a good going through. Your thoughts?
