Does anyone know what axles, gears, and t-case a 79 3/4 ton 4x4 should have? I know it has a 350motor and 400 thans. Also can you get a set of 8 lug 15" wheels?

You can get 15x10 8 lug wheels but only in steel, I have a set on my 3/4 ton axles. They fit over any 14 bolt drum and you need to grind the front calipers a little. Do a search, I know I have said something along those lines at least 200 times now [IMG] (Rene) so the info is out there. If it is a TH400, it either has an NP205 or an NP203. It has a 14 bolt full float rear and more than likely a 10 bolt front but I have seen a few 79 trucks with some left over dana 44s (GM phased them out over a few years, some were used as late as 81)

You can get 8 lug 15 inchers. I don't know where. I saw them on a magazine project. I don't know about the other stuff.

I got mine from Summit. They're special order. Takes about 3 weeks. They come 15x7, 15x8, and 15x10 that i can remember.

4 wheel parts has them too. No rants about them either, I have had good luck with their mail order.

Stockton makes 15" 8 lug wheels, as does M.R.T if your looking for beadlocks. National Tire, and Wheel sells Eaton wheels also just look in any four wheel mag.
