I have tried to search but have not seen any solid answers as to what is involved in converting a 14 8 lug into a 6 lug. I bought the thing without really questioning how difficult the conversion may be. help please.

As far as I know you will need a set of six lug axleshafts, and all brake components from the backing plate out including new drums.

    Is is ita 14bolt FF?
You really one have 2 choices in making a 14bolt FF 6LUG
    1-adapter ring from echobit
2-new 6lug hubs from some other place I forget who
If you go with the adapter you have to machine you hubs to 4 5/16 and theres plenty there to take from

to change over to 6 lug on the 8 lug hub you need...
1- Turn your outter hub down to 4-5/16" inch
2- Turn your axle face plate down to 4-5/16" inch
3- Install Echobit 8 to 6 lug ring and bolt your tire on... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
