    8\" lift and front driveshaft

For those of you who have an 8" lift, will a driveshaft spacer be enough to correct the difference? I was going to order a Superlift spacer but if the driveshaft will still be too short with the spacer, then i will just get the shaft lenghtened. Thanks ya'll

I think flcpl4fn has a spacer in his Jimmy w/ 8 in. springs. I am not sure if it was enuff or not. If I can catch him online Ill ask, or tell him about this post and he can answer.

I would bet money it'd be too short.

heres my problem, the driveshaft will almost fit, however, in full droop the axle is too low and the driveshaft will hit the xmember. will this spacer help any? and yes my tcase is dropped, i just realized that the previous owner did this for his 4in lift, dont know why but he did.

SHUPACH, so do you have an 8" lift? And if so, your stock front d/s works?

When you drop the case for a better angle to the rear you will slightly raise the front. The spacer will move the joint further out towards the front and will help w/ clearing the X-member some.

I have an 8" Superlift on my '75 Jimmy and the stock drive shaft was long enough to bolt up but only has another 1/2" of extension left.

Well, I just ordered a Superlift spacer kit from 4wpw. It was about $49, so not too bad. Hopefully that will be all i need for the time being.

A DRIVESHAFT SPACER!! I never heard of a thing. I want to lift my blazer at least to 4" but maybe 6". Would I be able to use my stock driveshaft? (87 blazer) It's currently at 2" susp. lift and 3" body lift.

It's the front driveshaft I am worried about. I already have the proper rear driveshaft.

Well, thats what i getting ready to find out when i get my kit in. My ft d/s worked fine with my 4"lift. If this kit doesn't correct it enough, then i'm just gonna return the spacer and extend my d/s

the driveshaft spacer bolts on the flange from the front of the t-case...it gives about and inch or so of space...it worked ok for me but i dont have a lot of room to stretch it out now...
