I will be getting my 14 bolt ff soon and will need to convert the front axel to 8 lug. Will I need to replace the rotors only or is there more to it than that. This is on my 85 blazer... Any help is appreciated

  2. I changed the whole hub/rotor on my last Blazer and that was it. Some people say to watch out for the inner bearings! They say that they are sometimes a different size. I haven't had that problem yet and I have done two of these 6 to 8 lug conversions !

As long as you get the hub and rotor from a none hd44 you be alright.Only the hd had different bearing on the inside. You can tell by the locking hubs.External hub is hd.Internal hub is not.And if you're converting a 10 bolt i don't think they ever made a hd.Some say stuff from a d44 will fit but not sure.
