8\" suspension 3\" body and cut fenders??

what size tire do you think would fit on a 79'chevy 3/4 pickup? I dont have the 8 incher yet but I have the body lift and a 4" suspension lift on it now.I cut about 6" away from the fenders also.what would the front axle angle look like? its a dana 44 for the time being, until I get my 60.

Well, with that kind of lift and trimming, 33's should fit (LOL) I'd guess some 42's would work.

I have 7" susp and 3" body with cut fenders and I could easily run 44's..maybe even 48's. My front angle is bad, I need to shim it 6 degrees

I have a 6" lift, Dana 60, 3" body lift, and slightly longer heavy duty shackles. I have also moved the axle forward 1.5"'s. I run 39.5"s and have plenty of clearance. Looks like I could run 42"s and still clear in the rocks. 44"s for the mud no problem.

I have the 8" and 3" and the front moved forward 1.5" and the rear back 1.5" and run 39.5"s with no cutting so with the cutting you have 44's would fit.

There are a few ways to move the diff's forwards or backwards. I chose to drill a second hole in my perches 1.25" back from center. When I mounted it up to the springs it sat 1.25" forwards from the stock location. I had to drill a second hole in the spring plates too...

A-tron builds zero-rate blocks with offset holes too. I beleive you can also get them at whatever angle you like as well as flat.

The reason I moved my D60 forwards was to gain clearance between the tire and the firewall/floor area when the tire was stuffed. My goal was to run as large a tire as possible with as little lift as possible.

I did exactly the same thing as TrustyK5. Its a free mod and it makes a big difference. I wish that I had done this before the body lift went on. I might have been ok.

i run a 6 in spring and the typical trimming and run 38.5 boggers no rubbing, your description sounds like a combo for 44"s in mud and 42"s for flex type terrain!!! JMO!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif
