    83\' K/5 with Heavy squeals

    Hello Everyone!
Again I have another question, My Uncle has a 83 K/5 with 31x10.5x15s, There is a heavy squealing sound on the passenger front tire, I mean the damn thing is loud.
My Uncle ignors it, but it does bother me, the brake pads are new and I know it doesn't sound like that (Brake Sensor), its coming from behind it and it only squeals when the blazer is in motion.
Anybody wants to give me ideas if this is a critical situation or not.
If it wasn't for my Uncle, I wouldn't have gotten a blazer in the first place.
Please let me know, I would appreciate it fully.
    Sincerely
    Michael W. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

Does he have manual hubs on it? In other words, is the axle shaft turning or not?

Are you sure that maybe your power steering pump isn't low on fluid? It will make a hellacious squeal when it's low.

What kind of brake pads are they? Was the rotor recently replaced? Some brakes can squeal terribly from day one.

Could be as simple as a rock stuck against the brakes and the rotor. I had something similar to that happen to my truck.

I don't know exactly what type of brake pads were put on, all I know is that a shop mechanic redid the brakes, as for a rock stuck in there, it could be a possibility, but the bearings could be it, this is a manual hub just like my 77, but not the 78 and the only problems I got with both vehicles is major rust and frozen bolts.
I will have it checked by another ASE certified mechanic to have a look at this heavy quealer, I hope its just a small pebble, if not, then this truck will need some heavy grease packing and bearing checks.
Thanks guys for the imformation, you have been very fruitful.
    Michael
