I have a chance to buy a manual steering column with tilt from an 84 K10. Will this column be ok for use in my 87 K5. I know it'll go in there and everything, but I'm more or less worried about the electronics. My K5 has cruise control because it was an automatic before. What kind of issues will I come across?

If they both have delay or non-delay wipers, it should be the same for the most part. The manual column won't have neutral safety switch though - this should be wired through your clutch switch instead.

The cruise stick will swap over... the hard part is fishing the wire in there.

Come to think of it... you can swap the wiper switch into the manual column if necessary.

Gotta swap the upper section if you are dealing with dimmers on the floor.

Swaping parts over (to make one good column out of two) isn't necessarily tough, just time consuming.
