I believe the k10 referred to the luxury edition of the Blazer. I have an 84 k5.

I've talked with several other people who had 84's that all said k10 on the title and k5 on the fenders. Both of my 84's that I've had were that way. Both were silverados with 305's.

My 78 2wd says C10 on the title and k5 on the side. If it did say k10 on the side I would assume the badges came from a pickup, possibly from a fender swap.

K5 is the "brand" for the Blazer- it has no significance other than as a model name. Using GM's code it's a K10 because it's:

    4x4- K
    1/2 ton suspension- 10

On the same note, a 2WD Blazer is a C10 because:

    C- 2WD
    10 - 1/2 ton suspension

Your registration should read K10 because that's the configuration of your rig. If it's a 2WD Blazer it should read C10.
