i'm going to be geting a K20 frame and putting my 86 C10 body on it. since this trucks sole purpose in life will be to be wheeled, i'd like to make my first major mod a cage for a little extra support in case the unexpected happens. will a drag style cage kit, like the ones sold by Jegs be sufficient for this? i'm looking at the 10 point kit, which consists of a main hoop, a halo, front support legs, and door bars. in also includes bars to tie into the rear of the frame, but i would probalby leave them out, since i'd like alittle bit of chassis flex. if i'm not mistaken these kits bolt to the floor. do you think they'll work for my intended use?

I imagine the door bars are going to make it hard to get in, but then again, you're not a midget like I am.

Honestly though man, do a search on this issue. One company is offering CK5 discounts and makes a cage for these trucks.
