I have an 86 blazer with a 2.8L, it starts relatively good when the engine is cold. If you have been driving around, and shut it off then try to start it a little later, it seems like it has to wind up before it starts. Almost like you have a dead battery, but it then starts turning over faster and faster until it starts. Sometimes when I drive it on the expressway for awhile and stop it barely turns over and won't start. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I bought a new battery about 6 months ago, so I don't think it is that. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

You most likely have a starter solenoid that is starting to go bad. If it is the factory starter just replace the whole thing...but you could also just do the solenoid.

Also check all your battery cables...esp. the grounds.
