how come the specifications page lists that the standard engine on an 87 K5 was a 350, but the sticker in the engine compartment of a K5 that I looked at said that it had a 305 in it? Was it like an economy option that the original owner may have done to save money? It has power windows, locks, tilt, etc.. and dosen't appear to be bare-bones... I may be able to provide more info about the Blazer if its needed. Thanks for any help.

Yeah 305 was an option in 87... i think only 15% of K5's and or V10's (later model in 87 produced) had 305's. Sucks doenst it. Alos just a thought 15% also came with Sm465, so does that mean my truck is one of the 2.25% that came with 305 and 4spd? Sounds cool. Cya around

V10 is a designator GM used for the K5 in '88, I believe...

    Similar to my '91 Suburban, the old designator used for 1/2 and 3/4 tons until the '89 model year was simply"K10" and "K20", respectively, for a 4X4, ("C10" and "C20" for 4X2). Mine is a "V2500" (3/4 ton 4X4)...same thing. "V" is 4X4, "R" is 4X2.

Haze gray and underway...or blue, in my case.
