having problem of no fuel getting to TBI unit on 87 grand am 2.5L, cant hear pump priming either, car ran and was parked a few weeks ago with no problems and now its not pumping fuel, theres no reset button in the trunk on at leats these older FWD cars and the ECM and pump fuses are fine, i think gray and purple are the colors of the two wires going back to tank

who knows what on these ? cutlass calais and other cars like this are basically same thing as far as fuel ssystem and so forth

    thanks

how about the fuel pump relay? do all the electrical accessories work? if the accessories dont work, possible ignition switch, try swapping relays around underhood to see if pump works..

relays go bad...have someone turn the ignition on while you listen/feel the relays under the hood, when you find the one not clicking, swap it with another..try again...
