Other then a manifold, injection pump. It is a complete motor. He said I could have it for 200. So I am thinking something must be wrong with it. He wants it out of there. The crank turns. I don't know what else to look for? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

If possible pull the oil pan and check the main webs for cracking near the outter main bolts.

I recently pulled the motor down on my old ex-air force '88 crew cab. It has 80K original miles and was starting very hard cold due to low compression. Everything was looking good until I found #3 main web cracked /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif. Up to that point it was just going to be a re-ring job. I bought the truck with 42K on it and it didn't start good then when below 35*F. Nearest I can tell it wasn't properly broke in and the rings glazed over.
