I looked at a 93 GMC Suburban SLE 2500 4x4 today. It has 112K miles 5.7l 4l80e-I think anyway. It is a 4 speed o/d. 4.10 gears dual A/C and heat. Front captains chairs with power drivers. 3rd seat pw/pl remote entry, am/fm cass. She was real clean. Maroon exterior with red interior.
The used car lot wants 8000 Does this sound about right.
I will only tow a 4-5K pound camper about 4 times a year, so i think the 350 should be fine, or should I go with a 454? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

We've got a '94 1500 4x4 with all the goodies and we love it. The 350 is WEAK at this altitude, but it seems fairly peppy when it gets down close to sea level. It will drag stuff around, as long as I'm not in a hurry. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif That seems like a decent price, but 4WD's fetch a premium in this part of the country. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

With 4.10 gears and being at sea level, you should have plenty of power for towing what you're talking about. I have no problems towing about 3,500 lbs. with the 350/TH700R4/3.73 combo in my '86 2WD Suburban...

    Good luck!
