The vibration and signature "clunk" told me it was time to put a new U-joint in the rear. The Chevy dealer was the closest stop on the way home, so I stopped in to pick one up. The guy behind the desk says "that'll be $93." This Blazer is new to me, and I couldn't remember what I paid years ago, but this sure seemed High. I stopped in at the local autoparts store and picked one up for $14. I noticed the $93 Chevy version wasn't greasable, where the other was. Is there any difference in dependability??????

Greaseables usually last longer on light duty trucks (not abused too hard offroad)... the non-greaseables are considered stronger. Anyway you cook it though, $93 is WAY too much. You can buy seriously bad @ss ones for that kinda money! Just my .02! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I paid $400 for a set of my CTM u joints. I've busted Dana 60 35 splines outers and the CTMs are the same as when I bought em. Definately worth the money.
