    94 \'burban anti-lock brake light

My light for the anti-lock brakes came on yesterday. I checked fluid and all is ok, but light won't go out. It will shut off when I start it, but the first time I brake it comes back on and stays on until I shut the 'burban off. What is going on? TIA

There are a lot of different things that can cause the anti-lock light to come on. The controller, the wheel speed sensors, the wiring, etc. can all cause that light to come on. You can get the light to flash out the trouble code, similar to how the engine computer works. Short pin A to pin H in the ALDL connector under the dash, with the key in the run position. A is the top right pin and H is 1st from the left on the bottom row. Get the code and we can go from there. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
