That sounds pretty optimistic. A buddy of mine has a 96 K2500 Burb with the Vortec 454 and he gets about 8-9 in town and 12-13 on the highway. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I have had 3 4x4 350's. One was a 2500. Got 9-10 in town and 14-15 highway. Highway was with about 600 lbs in rear and on the back (hot air balloon). Stock everything with 3.73 rear end.

Our 99 gets near that, but with how I drive you should shave a few mpg's off. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

<font color="blue">He's BS'ing you. My '03 Ram 2500 Hemi gets 12 around town and 15 on the highway with me babying it at 65 with the cruise on. No way a TBI 94 454 gets as much as he says

Both my 454TBI/4l80e/4.10 trucks got up to 15 on the highway. I did a lot of tracking the MPG and a lot of highway numbers were in the 14's. In town expect 10-11. It depends A LOT on how you are driving it.

    You're killing me! Jeez!!!

    My '95 K2500 Sub with 350, 4L80E &amp; 4.10's gets 12mpg hiway! But I drive at ~80mph. Still ... my brother's '95 K1500 Z71 Sportside with 350, 4L60E &amp; 3.73's gets ~18mpg traveling the same speed. Just don't understand it /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Did a tuneup 2 wknds ago so maybe it's improved but I really doubt it.

Good luck, my '95 C3500 dually TBI454/ 4L80HD/ 14BFF 3.73s gets 9 at the best around town. 11.5 road trip running 70-75. The best I got ever was 14 from Reno to San Jose with the CC set on 55 mph.
