    This question is for a friend. How is the front diff engaged, Is it vaccum or is it electronicly controled?

    It should be electronic.

    I believe it is a heat activated switch. There are aftermarket switches that will activate immediately instead of having to wait the few seconds the factory one takes to activate.

    It's electronic, the actually "lock" part is wax and the electrical current heats the wax and then it locks up, thats why wheeling in an IFS in the snow sucks, could take forever for the front to engage.

    The aftermarket doo-dad is called a pos-i-lock or something like that...
