    \'97-98 LS-1Heads on \'89 350?

Got a chance to buy a set of LS-1 heads, new, with valves and springs for
$450. Will these heads fit my '89 350 block and tbi intake. Any known issues or problems? Is it a good swap?

Sounds like a good price, however, I do not believe that the heads will fit your application. The LS1 is a totally redesigned engine-all aluminum, 6 bolt mains, etc. I have seen headers for these heads and the bolt pattern is different. I believe that they are designed differently than any previous heads as far as the bolt patterns throughout the head, but I suggest calling your local GM dealer to be sure. Maybe you could get the LS1 heads and trade them for a set of vortec heads-heard these heads flow great right out of the box and they will fit

Been there- broke that, and that, and that...

The LS1 is a third generation GM smallblock. It has NOTHING in common with any previous design. Firing order is diffrent, bolt patern is diffrent, even the cylenders are placed diffrently.
Blazer's cylenders look something like this: o oo o
    Where as the Gan III's (LS1) looks something like this: o o o o
There's just NOTHING in common between the two designs other than the fact that they are V8 pushrod motors built by GM.

Please excuse all of my misspelled wurds.

Oops, ment to say the exhaust ports on the heads are placed diffrently, not the cylenders.
