is this enough truck to pull my 5400 lb blazer on a 1500 lb (or so) trailer??? i was reading in the owners manual and according to it, 6500 lbs is max!!?? and get this,,,the k1500 with the same engine can pull 7000 lbs WTF??? it has a 14 golt ff in the rear w/ 373's.

can this truck be my tow vehicle? or is it too *small*???

    any opinions or comments welcome!!!

My cousin used to use a mid-90's 1-ton dually with the 6.5 turbo to tow his tandem axle gooseneck trailer and 4wd backhoe. He had previously used the same type of truck but with a 454 V-8.

I don't know how much the total trailer and bachhoe weighed but I'm guessing it was probably at least twice the weight of the Blazer and car trailer. He never had any problems with power.
