This was my '80 GMC when we first got it in 1994.

    and...
This is it today. I just finally got it on the road again after sitting in the garage for a year and a half.

During that year and a half it got:
-a Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear with 4.56 gears (out of a '77 Crew cab)
    -8" front lift springs
    -an Echobit shackle flip
    -rear disc brakes
    -crossover steering
-a different bed and front fenders, doors and tailgate
-all that pointless chrome accessory stuff (at nearly no cost to me since I kept accessories off other trucks Ive had and sold)
    -a Warn M12000 pound winch
    -a racing clutch disc
-and a 454 out of the same crew cab that donated the axles.

All I have left to do is put mud flaps on, replace the hood latch plate, do a clutch adjustment and come up with $20 to go enter a local mud bog this Saturday. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

(this truck may have that "show truck appearance" (even though the bodywork is less than perfect and I painted it in 30-40 degree weather with K-Mart blue spray paint), but it's a truck that will get used for off-road purpose activities) /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Thanks everyone. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The yellow car in the corner is my mom's boyfriend's Firebird...I think its an '87. He just put a new 305 in it and now it isnt getting any spark (never has fired yet). It's been a driveway ornament for about 4 months now.

One of these days, I'll learn how to actually post a picture in the post so it shows.

In your site I right clicked on the pic, clicked on copy image location, then when replying I clicked on image in the Innstant UBB code below. In the window I erased the HTTP that comes up every time and right clicked in the box, then click on paste.

Oh, they're not grooved. I think in the picture, the bigger lugs picked up the dust on the driveway. But now that I look at it, they do look like they were modified.

Yep, I missed the thing after a year and a half. Used to be our main truck when I was ages 13-15, and was my daily driver for quite a while when I was 16-19.

This weekend, if I get the front driveline in, I'm gonna enter it in a local mud bog, and on the 15th and 16th, a bunch of us are going to the ORV park to play. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Gotta get that new paint broke in.
