Just drove a friends 98 pickup with a multiport vortec 350. The thing had some balls, compaired to my old Blazer. Just wondering if anyone knows the horse power & torque ratings for that engine?

    Thanks!

I believe the 350 Vortec have 245hp and like 300-310 lbs. of torque...but I am not 100% on those numbers...You should drive a new 2500HD with the 8.1Litre hamster wheel in it that thing moves [IMG]

Was that a speed bump? No, just a Rice Rocket My 87 Blazer

Fotcollins is close...According to Scoggin Dickies, a stock 350 with 96 or later vortec heads. TBI, headers, K&N, and a mild performance cam will bring close to 280 HP and 375 lbs of Torque......Thats my route over the next few months....

Still hoping the GOV'T will ban the use of loud stereos with RAP music. [IMG]

I have a 99 suburban and for a 6k pound vehicle it moves pretty well. I also pick up a 99 drive train from a yukon and its sitting in the garage waiting to be installed in the 87 Jimmy. They are great motors.
