Here is a good thread, a customer did a full write up on the weld in rock sliders http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165951

Both setups work for blazers, only the weld in kits work for the trucks. We actually have new truck bolt on sliders in the works though.

They bolt to the body core supports right underneath the rockers, there are 2 on a blazer.

Check our website for more info www.blazenoffroad.com

These ones could have been mounted higher but it give you flexibility. Check the website for step kits that can be added to the rock sliders!

Will the bolt on truck sliders be produced for longbeds? If so put me down for a set.

I'll have to get back to you with some measurements of the short bed brackets and we will see if they are the same.

Please post some pics of these pick up sliders whan you get some done. I'm interested and want to see where they mount. My concern is if thay are bolted to the cab and the box they might do some body damage when the frame twists.

Well you can use them as a high lift point.

How hard would it be to make the longbed sliders a 2 piece set-up. One for the cab section that would mount to the supports and one for the box section that would mount to the frame. Obviously the saddle tank would have to go but most of us serious enough to use sliders would switch to a K5 tank and mount it further back under the bed.

This way you'd still have the flex and the protection for situations like this, the flex here was enough to pop the tailgate and you can see the difference between cab and bed.

Ya the saddle bag tanks are your biggest problem, and that is why we don't have a bolt in setup yet for trucks.

Yes a two piece design could work.

Well if you decide to make those sliders I would drop the saddle bag in a heartbeat for a pair. It was already part of my build plan since I've gone TBI.

Any plans to make some that also replace the rocker pannels?

ignore that. see one of your customers used them for that.
