Just curious, hubby has a 99 Silverado, just got the Rancho 4" lift, anyone had the experience of lifting the new style? Nobody around here really wants to touch it,,,, and he doesn't want to have a half ass lift either, spent good money on the truck, spent good money on the lift, doesnt want it to ride like an old jalopy.....
He only makes me ask, cause my truck is almost done!!!!
sometimes it pays to have an old jalopy!!!!!
any info/idea's would be greatly appreciated!

I'd do it yourself. It can't be that bad. I am going to do one when I can get a hold of one to do. I offered to do my friend's when he thought he couldn't afford to have it done, but it's getting done right now. They've had his truck two weeks. Two weeks for a 6" lift, new 36s, 15x10 wheels, and a gear change to 4.56s and Auburn rear.

this is an old thread, don't know if your problem is resolved yet. If you need info I've done tons of IFS lifts. I'll check back to make sure I'm not talking to myself!

LOL its old enough that I don't have the truck anymore... BUT I still have the lift sitting in my garage, living room, and cellar- wanna buy it?

We could not find anyone in the area that was fluent with these types of trucks/lifts, so we decided not to ever put it in. one guy did offer to "try to get it installed" for us LOl imagine that ! TRY HA!

thanks though! when we get the lift for the Duramax, I'll let ya know!

its almost done I can almost drive it..YEAH!
Duramax running as good as ever- I think its getting jealous!

I dont know what you mean by auto trac t-case- but I think you mean the 4x4 options-
it had 4 Buttons- auto, 2x4, 4 hi and 4 lo-- is that what you meant?.....
its a rancho 4" with the add-a-leaf...never been installed on anything, but the big H shaped frame component has been professionally painted black.... $800 plus shipping from Vermont- 05101... all the bolts, screws, etc.. are still in sealed bags- from Ranch- the only "damage" is one of the cardboard boxes the shock is in, is missing the top flap thing...but its just a cardboard box LOL...

    you intereseted?

    Brandy,

I am picking up my new (well new to me) truck today. Let me do some research to make sure that the same lift will fit. I am getting a 2001 Z71 1500 with the t-case like you just described. It has a 5.3 V8 and the auto/overdrive trans with the Tow/Haul mode on it. Is this the same as what your truck was? Thanks for all the info. Obviously if someone shows up with the cash go ahead and give it to them. I would not want you to lose out on any money waiting for me to get my sh$! together. [IMG] Thanks again.

One more question. Is that the one with the RSX shocks with the kit? Thanks.

    its this system-

    Rancho Syspension system RS6545

the shock "box" says this on it...

Rancho RSX Reflex self-adjusting shock absorber..

then it has the bar code thingy on the top that has this part number
    RSX 17315

is that what you wanted? LOL

It isn't goin to sell, unless it's someone from on here- only becuase there isn't any 1500's here in town, other than "old man rigs"... everyone here is buying the new HD's... us included- let me know how you make out
