Came back from the farm on Saturday and washed the days fun off my rig. I polished and wiped till it shone. Took about 3 hours. It rained. I went back to the farm.

I tried to run it through one of these really fancy drive throughs and the guy freaked. This was in the 2' lift , 32" tire stage. Gotta give him credit. He tried. The car wash ripped off both K5 Silverado badges, wrestled with the passenger side mirror and gave the chrome thingies around the tail lights a run for their money before the truck freaked , jumped the track and tried to escape out the nice big viewing window. To bad it stopped short, a new hood and fender would have been worth it. Never went back though.

When we went to Cali a few years ago on vacation we were driving through Beverly hills for the hell of it. My wife was trying to convince me to take tRusty to one of those fancy hand wash places that charge like $25 to wash yer car. This was back when it had a ton of rust, missing rockers etc. etc.
Of course the only cars we saw getting washed were Porches and Rolls Royces...[IMG]

I think it was the joke of the day...

ROTFLMAO!!!!!! [IMG] Oh man... some good stories! Mine most commonly gets the 4 bucks in quarters spray... just take it to the local place and spray the crude of the body in about 40 seconds w/ the high pressure water and then spend the remain 4 minutes getting all the mud, and more commonly the winter salt off the under side [IMG]

  10. It costs me about 10 bucks in quarters every time I go to wash my truck. Oklahoma mud is as thick as tar and twice as sticky! I would better off investing in my own high pressure washer. It takes me a dollar for each wheel well. I took it to an automatic car wash with underbelly wash, the attendent came out and said "that ain't gonna get that clean!" LOL! He was right! I get more dirty washing my truck than I do wheelin' it. I have clothes specifically set aside for the car wash!

It used to run me a roll of quarters, too. [IMG]

But when I started working at the school, I got priveledges to use the schools diesel powered pressure washer. This was the old one the bus barn had. Then the bus barn got a new one and we got the old one, so, to make a long story short, the school keeps trying to figure out why they have a pretty good diesel fuel bill!! [IMG] [IMG]
