A/C blower relay

    hey guys. my ac was only blowing out on high, so i got a new relay switch. i put the new one in, and now it is blowing the fuse when i turn on the air.

    any suggestions?

    Check the switch on the dash. My switch had a short and started a small fire. Once the switch (and some wires) were replaced everything worked fine.

    it is only blowing the fuse when i put the a/c on high. i checked the ground, and its good. how can i check if its a power wire shorting? maybe i just bought a bad switch?

    check hot wires for any ground in them at any time, soudn slike short somewhere, trace the harness on pass side underhood, make sure no insulation is broken or chewed through, and switch is definitely possible, try another one from another truck laying around, hopefully you know for sure that the blower motor is fine and not messed up burnt or shorted windings.


    should suspect components before wiring, rule of thumb usually
