it's gotten a tad nipply here for texas. expecting up to a foot of snow this weekend. we've had our heater on for a week or three lately. Noticed the other day it's frozen. Went and looked and the coils on the outside are pretty well frozen with ice and so are the pipes on the inside, the fan still turns freely. Is this ok? or should I do something about it? house is heating still, noticed a few others like this on the block but not many?

is this a heat pump deal? I'm guessing that's what we have since our house is all electric......

Mine has done this once. It was low on freon. Found the leak, topped it off and hasn't done it since.

    Ice should not be forming.
