How hard is this to do? Noticed 2 openings in the firewall on my A/C truck, not sure on the non. Also is the HVAC the same between gas and diesel trucks?

I was thinking about the same swap. It would clean up the engine bay and I had no hoses, brackets or a/c compressor. I actually bought the heater boxes and gauge bezel but then I decided against it due to the fact I always use a/c in my 2000 blazer. If you decide to go this route I will sell or trade you these pieces. The firewall holes are different, I was going to cut the sheet metal out of a non a/c truck and weld it into mine. The only hole that is the same is the cowl to fan heater hole. You also have to get rid of the vents because a standard heater doesn’t have the plumbing for them.
