    can i ditch the a/c and if i do what do i have to take out?..i think this has been brought up before but didnt realy look:D :D

    Is this on your '90 K-5? Do you have a Serpentine belt system? If so you'll need to get an AC Delete Pulley, which will replace the compressor. Removing the condesor, dryer, & hoses..... I would like to buy you hoses if it a serpentine system.

    Just remove the components that you don't want... You may want to plug everything just incase you end up putting it back in or sell the parts...

    He's got a good suggestion there, since you do change your mind often regarding exactly what you want to do with the truck from one week to the next.

    get rid of the A/C compressor and stick a york in its place... thats what im doing! :D

    my a/c hit the trash when it lost its charge in 96

    How expensive is R-12 anyways,,, anyone know? I know thats one reason i ditched mine, i didnt want to pay to recharge it

    I think it's about 40-45 bucks per pound lately.
