I was riding down the road the other day and almost wrecked my truck looking at a military truck I had never seen before. I'm guessing it is the replacement for the 5 ton trucks. It was 6 wheel drive and had INDEPENDANT SUSPENSION!!!!! The damn CV shafts on that thing look almost as big as a 14b's axle tubes. Which branch has these things and where can I read some info on them?

Nah, it pretty much looked like a redesigned 2 1/2 or 5 ton truck. It was a dark camo job on it, which I wanna say is Marines, but I could be wrong.

the Navy dont do so good in getting you around in the desert slap @ss /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. To answer your question Ash it is a new truck i beleive only used by us. It replaces the old 5 ton and its rated at 8 or 8.5 tons. It has independant suspension for eack tire and does a hell of a job /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks sapper, and yes, this is what I think I saw. The only difference I can remember right off is that it was painted a darker color.
