Me and a buddy decided to hit up a couple of local ponds since the weather was nice. We caught a total of about a dozen largemouth between the two of us. Nothing too big today but still had a great time. The highlight of the day is when my friend pointed out that I was standing about two feet from a huge cottonmouth. I'm glad he was still cool and sleepy or he could have easily put the hurt on me.

There are plenty of them that's for sure. Most of the time, it's just water snakes but there are quiete a few big cottonmouths. In the summer, it's not uncommon to see 20-30 snakes in one afternoon.

Get it while the bite is on! These ponds have been real slow for about 10-12 weeks now but the recent rain and warm weather has livened them up!

I know where that is. We used to drink beer and stuff back there is the 80s. If only I had my Blazer back then, before all the houses were built.
    Nice fish.
