    First thing is to check fluid level. Second is to change filter and fluid. Third is to rebuild tranny.

    Is temp a factor (ie. only does it when it's cold or vise versa)? Also, when was the last time your trans was serviced (filter and fluid changed). A/T's are one of those things that people often forget to service once a year (the other is diff's) and if your filter gets dirty enought it won't allow enough pressure to build up in the valve body for proper operation.
