I finally got my custom handles installed that I ordered from TPI86 and the custom trim inserts that I made. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Very nice Wayne! I really like the trim insert, did you make that or buy it? How do you like the billet aluminum door handles?

I made the inserts. They are rigidized stainless steel. They are a one off part because I don't have any more of the material. I love the handles and they are solid as a rock.

You can buy the handles from TPI86. That is where I got them from. The inserts I made out of some scrap material from work, it cost over a $1000.00 for a 4x8 sheet. The whole job took about 3 hours to complete. I think it is safe to say that the inserts are the only ones in existance. [IMG]

I'm in the process of doing something similar. I'm taking 1/8" stainless plate and making some inserts to replace the brushed aluminum trim on the doors (where the pull strap goes) and on the dash piece (between the air condition vents. I'm doing this to delete the holes in these brushed aluminum pieces. When I'm done, the stainless trim pieces will match the original "brushed aluminum" pieces. I'm also thinking about making a stainless piece to go around the radio cut out for my cd player. I'll take some pics and post them when I'm done, but it'll be awhile because i'm in the process of a complete rebuild. This is for my 84 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive daily driver!
