ok...buy time is coming up...im getting rid of my pretty blue k5. I got a loan to pay for it. Well im coming into a couple K and ive decided to put half of it into fixing up the truck, then sell the truck + the other half of the money to pay the loan off...and have enough left to get a decent ride. Here is what im looking for...

    89-91k5
    350tbi or up
    headers
    silverado
clean interior...carpet, no holes in seats and crap
    stereo i dont care about
    NO RUST
any kind of rust proofing, rhino, xliner, what have you
    atleast 35" tire
    4 speed
    4.10/4.56 gears
must be in impecable working condition...that above all else. I dont want a project, i want a vehicle.
A soft top, or a lightbar or stuff like that would be nice also.
color - black (this is important for spray paint touch up reasons)
    prefer black wheels...
also prefer a total LACK of chrome

im hoping to find all this in a truck for 4k or under...think its do-able?

If I understand you correctly, you are getting a loan for ($x.xxx amount of dollars) to pay off your rig but you are going to take half of the remaining loan amount and put it into your rig so you can sell it, then you are going to use the other remaining portion of the loan plus whatever profit you gain from selling your rig to buy another rig as you described? If this is your plan, why not just sell your rig as is and then use all the remaining loan money plus whatever profit to buy your new rig. Most of the time when you invest money into a rig you will not get back what you have invested into it. Just my $.02

my truck is too pretty for me
im wanting, well, a not so high matienence truck.

i see what your saying...but 500$ of body work would let me sell it as "no rust" and one more k$

i like 4wheeling, and i dont want my wax job and chrome to be something to worry about whenever i go.

I've been looking for a short-bed pickup to build instead of my K5. If you were closer I'd sell you mine /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Of course it would take about $4,000 to get it from me (at my loss) Anyways, it's got 4" lift, 3/4 ton's w/ 4.88's and a detroit, 36" swampers on 15" waggies (to up the bling) 350/700R4/241, 3" flowmaster exhaust, nice stereo, full interior w/ silverado pkg. and "no" rust (very very little, but no exterior stuff) /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I just wanted to brag a little /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif good luck w/ the searching /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
