    1. Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
    2. Take the dirt from the moat to fix and raise the levies in New Orleans.
    3. Put the Florida alligators in the moat. :D

    Well my idea is that we convince all the illegals already here that they can stay and become legal citizens if they help us build the wall and that we just dont want anymore to come over. The Great Wall of Texas would stretch accross Texas, NM, and AZ, but not cali since So Cal is too far gone already. Maybe have a wall go up the state border line til it gets to Nor Cal and then cut accross to the ocean to Salvage what little we can. Anyways have them build the wall and almost finish, then stage a fake war with the media so that way all the mexicans that really are loyal to the homeland will find a way to get back, and then we just put the finishing touches on the wall and slam the door shut. VIOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Oh yeah and also offer all the farmers/land owners along the border a tax incentive to shoot or round up the guys they do see coming back accross somehow.

    Yeah when they round up illegals around here, they hit every home depot in town first and work there way out from there. Actually though from what my gf tells me, so cal is too far gone. She said when she lived in Orange from 80s to 2003 that she was one of maybe 10 white people in a multiple 5a school district when she was in HS(01-03)...............and a few african americans and orients mixed in here and there. She said as far as neighborhoods, you could either live in the multi million dollar gated communities or in the bario, and maybe a few middle class neighborhoods that were far and few between.

    are all of you white?...:confused: ...not sure but it seems your comments are pretty mean...i'm hispanic myself...& live about 15 minutes from the TX/Mexico border...i mean all this immigration talk that's been going around & this country is based just on that...my parent's were illegals some 25+ years ago but eventually became us citizens & i wouldn't have what i have without them making that choice...& they've always worked hard...but you know, i'm not one to take things too seriously & i really thought brandonnc's comment was pretty funny...

    mexicans = A-OK
    Legal Immigrants = A-OK
    Illegal Immigrants = depends on the person and their contribution to society. but this can be said for anyone, legal or not

    I grew up just south of houston and have no problem with hispanic people and I enjoy the food very much. Every time I get a chance to come home the first thing I want is mexican food and iced tea :D . The majority population in houston is now hispanic, whites, blacks, and asians are all in the minority. My roommate at A&M was a hipanic guy from the valley and we are still good friends. I enjoy going down to his place and hunting south texas. The demographic of the south west is changing. If you look at the area of texas south of I-10 it is predominantly hispanic. If what I said was offensive then I apologize. I'm glad your parents came here with goals, worked hard, and were able to fulfill them.

    25+ years ago is a long time. I think the illegal immigration problem we have today is far worse than 25 years ago. The social cost of illegal immigrants far outweighs any benefits they may provide to this country.

    25 years is a long time & immigration is totally different from then to now, but maybe the government shoulda started thinking about that back then.
