in my experience bottom of the case mounted fans are innefficient and make more noise than they add to the cooling. Just stating something for you to think about. Nice full tower, who makes that? And my CPU fan is adjustable too :D I just don't have that blingin 3.5" bay setup  I need to build a watercooled setup again to show you up :).

So how was Sema offroad? Thought I read it sucked in another post.

Just wondering but why would you need a adjustable gigabit thing? wouldnt you just want it as high as it could go all the time? Kinda like those Banks 6 gun things, If i had one on a Cummins or Duramax id just have it on the highest setting all the time:cool1:

at the highest volume its gonna be LOUD, you've obviouslly never heard a loud computer fan or you'd get it.

personally I would rather have one setting, turn it on and forget it... But the noise these things make at high speeds are crazy, not bad if your gaming or have music/tv turned on but in the same room or down the hall from one at night is crazy (mines in my room). so to set it at 35% its quite (WELL! as quite as 10 fans can be). so when I'm working I can crank it up ( and at night turn it down, it would be nice to have an auto adjusting fan though

As far as the bottom case fan I think it helps a great deal. A silent 92mm fan in the bottom make less noise than an 80mm LED fan exhausting the air through small case holes. My case actually sits 1.5"-2" off the floor on a sheet of plexiglass, so the vacuum caused by the redirection of air cools the air further (the cool air off the floor at that) before it pulls it into the case. Current fan rate is

    -92mm in the bottom (silent)
    -92mm in the front (silent)
    -92mm out the top (silent)
-80mm in the bottom of the power supply
-80mm out the back of the power supply
-80mm in over the hard drive
-80mm LED fan out the back at the top
-40mm (or smaller) on the motherboard
-40mm or smaller on the video card
-plus the adjustable Heatsink that is far from silent

In addition to those add in a 52x cd-rom/rw, a 10,000RPM Hard drive, and an External Harddrive a the fan pulling air off the floor is hardly noticable...

Maybe its that super magic goo that makes a nice solid seal between the CPU and the heat sink

ding, looks like a copper heatsink compound. THe mating surfaces betwen CPU and heatsink aren't always flat and even when they are a very thin layer of heatsink compound between them will help to transfer heat far more efficiently.

Jeremiah, be a man and get a Delta high output fan :D I ran one of those for about 6 months and left it on while I slept, I slept with a pillow over my head for that time.

with a banks 6 gun, the highest setting is only for limited use. you cant run around all day like that, probly not more than say a 1/4mi..motor will overheat and burn up. thats why there are so many settings. 2 or 3 might be the max you can use for towing, 4 maybe unloaded, 1 or 2 for fuel ecomony.. etc.
