I have two Cerwin Vega 12's. They are 4 ohms and 800 watts peak each. I wanted to run a Fosgate BD 1000 one channel amp. Can I run this amp and speakers? Someone told me that I cant because of the ohms being to low on the amp.

Sure, you can use this combination. Wiring the speakers in a "parallel" configuration will result in a 2 ohm load, which is a little low, but Fosgate makes great amps that will handle it with no problem.

the mono block fosgate amps are designed and rated at 2 ohm load... taking the 2 subs being 4 ohm each and running them in parrell will result in a 2 ohm load thus getting the most out of the amp at what it is rated at.. To run the subs together in a parrell configuration is simple.. Basically take the positive from each sub and put them together.. then take the negitive from each sub and put them together.. then plug those into the amp..
