acid bathing....

    are there any local places that do it?...looking to get my 8 lug stuff cleaned up real good, but I`ve never seen anyone local that does it...

    There was a place in Worcester dipping car bodies advertised in Hemmings Motor News magazine,not sure if they are still around...try calling some radiator shops--some will hot tank other parts for a fee..I'd sandblast it myself,but be carefull not to get sand where you dont want it!.:crazy:

    sandblast the hubs? maybe the backing plates...but if they could dip it, it would be alot easier...

    search for the bigger machine shops, or places that do profesional chrome plating/powder coating

    there is some stuff called N-Terpinal. You use it in one of those turkey frier things. I saw it in 4wheel & offroad mag. and it got a pretty good review. Check the stuff out they say it runs about $19-$20 per gal.

    check speed shops in your area. down here there is a carquest store that has an acid bath tank. none of the big chain store will have somehting like that but find a local car guy place and they can point you in the right direction.
