need to know if there are different plates for this setup, just bought a 700r4/205 but the adapter plate was welded and I want to replace it before I install...
think I have heard that the 205 comes in a round bolt and figure-8 bolt pattern...

I used a combo of a factory th350-to-np205 adapter plus an aluminum spacer that you can get from tranny shops for around $50. Do a forum search, the topic comes up all the time. At any rate, the spacer is about 2" thick and when using it, you must trim like 1/8" off the output shaft of the tranny so its an install best done by some kind of shop unless you are good at such things. hope it helps,

I got whats going on now...I need to see what the trans has in it right now, it's the 700r4/205 combo but the guy doesn't know how the transmissions did the hook up...
so I'll have to pull it apart to see how they did it... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

just called the trans shop and they use the adv. adapter out put on the 700...
