I am converting a 1991 Blazer to a 700R4 from a T350 (long story). I have all of the parts now, but am seeing that the space inside the adapter plate is will have fluid in it from the transmission. I do not see if there is supposed to be a seal between the transmission and the adapter and also the transfer case. Can I get away with formagasket? Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Clean both surfaces and use a high quality RTV Silicone. Will work fine.

There is a thin O ring that goes on.
Poeple here seem to like the RTV better but I never had problems with mine, and I owned a lot of them, when I installed agood seal and carefully. A lot less messy and it's reusable.
