I know that blocks on the front are a bad idea, but what about add-a-leafs? Yea, nay, anyone with bad or good experience? Any comments appreciated.

They made the ride of my rear very stiff. If I didn't need that extra little bit of lift, I would remove them.
I would not run them in the front for any reason. Too stiff.

If you don't already have a lift I would not use a add-a-leaf. The factory springs are negative arch (they look like a /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif )
If you try to put in a leaf with alot of positive arch (what a add-a-leaf is) it will:
    Be hard to put together
Put more stress on the add-a-leaf
    Sag real quick.

after 1 year my add a leafs haven't sagged yet.
Yes it is a little stiff but I'm used to my Z28 camaro so it has to be stiff.

I did a pro comp add a leaf in mine and I hated them. My truck was so squirly and bouncy! /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif
My girlfriend didn't want to drive it anymore so I was screwed everytime we were out together and I wanted to drink!
I still have 'em if you want them. They're procomps.

id honestly say your girl friend dosnt like a bouncy bouncy time, no j\k. my truck bounces mad style with stock 1\2 HD suspension, havent had a girl in it yet, so i wouldnt know, all i know is that if she didnt want to ride in my truck, she isnt the right girl for me, unless its a bladder issue then i would understand. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

lol... She doesn't mind riding in it. As long as she's not putting on make-up or something. She actually loves the K5. She was just scarred to drive it b/c she didn't feel like she could control it. Mad bump steer and stuff. Even when she bought her new Taco truck she still wanted us to take the K5 when we were out together. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
You're right though. Any girl that wouldn't want to ride in my K5 wouldn't be the girl for me either!! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

What's the downfall of stiff springs? is it just the bouncy ride? or does it also affect negatively the offroad flexing?

here's a before and after on my front add-a-leafs. had a 2 inch Rough Country lift that was sagged down to stock hight. installed their 2" ez ride add-a-leafs and got my ride hight back. quite a bit firmer too but not too bad. just drive it to work though and over an occasional curb /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
