Is it possible to somehow insert an OD gear like .75:1 or higher into an SM465? Is there room and such? Thanks

Not really!!! There isn't much room in there to do much at all! I've already rebuilt one and em looking to rebuild another! You can add an overdrive to the front or the rear and many companies have already done this! In fact I think AA sells one!

I think Warn makes an OD that fits between the tranny and t-case.

The Advance Adapters unit is the Ranger Torque Splitter. It mounts to the front of the trans, between it and the bellhousing. It can be had in either a .76 OD or an underdrive unit. It can split all gears, even reverse.
