    advice on 91\' Jimmy

Hello, I'm checking out this '91 Jimmy full size. It's loaded, no rust and has towing package. 123K. Can this rig tow a full size car (67' Chevelle) cross country on a trailer? Also, at normal driving, it runs at 210 degrees. Any advice on what to look out for is greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

Hell yes. Make sure trailer is loaded properly and you have the right amount of tongue weight. Dont tow in Overdrive and make sure you put a tanny cooler on it.
    Have fun....

It certainly should make the trip. I'd make sure that the transmission is in good shape - Especially if it's an automatic. Before making the trip, I'd also want an auxilary transmission cooler installed. Other than that, if it's mechanically sound, it sounds good.

If you pick it up I would buy a larger trans pan. It will hold a couple extra quarts of tranny fluid. And get the extra tranny cooler. Auto trans in these trucks like to burn up unless you the tricks to keep them from burning up. I am not saying "Don't buy the truck" I am just giving you some advise so you won't have a problem down the road. Later LittleJimmy.....

220 is a little too hot, make sure you check out the cooling system good, no oil in the radiator, fan clutch, water pump etc. Is the truck stock? Lifted etc.? It could be as simple as a thermostat. Smell the tranny fluid, does it smell burnt? Oil looks good? Make sure to check it all out before you spend your hard earned $$$$$.
