I picked up a Holley TBI that has the fuel inlet cross threaded. I'm getting ready to swap out a tank (fix my fuel return line leak too) and when I re-do my hard lines I want to run some short areoquip/russell braided lines to and from the TBI and tank fittings. I got an aluminum tank that uses 8AN fittings, OK. But what size connects to the TBI? I think 3/8" in 1/4" return? But whats the AN# that goes with those sizes? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Anyone have some old braided line/fittings laying around for sale? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The "Dash" size of a AN line is its OD (of the hard line) in 1/16"
    -3 is 3/16"
    -4 is 1/4"
    -6 is 3/8"
    -8 is 1/2"

    -8 is some big stuff

I bet that the TBI is a metric inverted flair...
    Good luck with that.

stock GM tbi inlet/outlet threads are a special fitting. I was told they are known as Isotaper....or something like that. Anyway..if you know a source of the fittings, please let me know. I need to re-do my fuel lines bad.

Actually I have a holley TBI I bought and it has the threads crossed. I think its a standard thread. I got a new fitting that 1/4"/ 1/4" adpater and its fits. I'm hoping the 6AN fitting fits but I have the flared end thing to deal with now! As far as the stock I dont know, its still on the the blazer and the chilton does not say anything about that stuff! I have done google searches and have not come up with anything definate.

I am redoing my fuel line for my 454 TBI with the stock TB...I am using the STOCK GM fittings and I am going to flare the metal line and use AeroQuip pieces from the flared hard line to the tank...
