Does anyone know of a replacemnt steering box. I saw the AGR ones, kinda expensive, just wondering if they are the only choice for aftermarket? Who else sells one?

Is Napa the best place to get a stock replacement?
    Thanks

Why do you need a new one?
If it's because you don't have one or are looking to do crossover steering and need a 2WD box, go to the local salvage yard.
If it's because your "box is loose".....(no comments), adjust it with the allen head and lock nut (1/4 turn increments)
If it's because it's leaking, reseal it.

If you didn't built it yourself, how can you call it yours.......?

Yes cuz it started leaking. I just upgraded my front D44 with 4.09s and a Power-Lock + Warn axels and all the other goodies. I drove on the pavement in 4x to brake in my R&P sets. Now all of a sudden allot of PS fluid is leaking out of the input shaft seal. Yes I could just reseal it but sence the box is original 1972 stuff I am thinking it's time to retire that box and get a new one while I'm taking it off anyway......

Make sure to get the correct box or you will have to change the lines that go to the pump. Which actually doesn't matter because the lines should be replaced anyway, but you will have to know which type to get (O-ring seal or flare seal)

If you didn't built it yourself, how can you call it yours.......?

    Burt,

Ok, first, spendy for one thing...way over priced....like $320 for the supposedly "better than stock" steering box. And they said you don't notice any difference unless you get their supposedly "better than stock" PS pump. Which is about $130 or so. Supposedly, they flow better, who knows.

Anyhow, my problem with them is that My AGR Ram kit came with mixed up parts. I called, and they said they'll overnight me an adapter to make the mixed stuff work....no biggie I thought.
Well, next day, nothing. I called, they said they forgot. I complained, and they said they'll send next day again. No biggie I thought. Next day, nothing again...I called, they said, they forgot AGAIN!!!!! F*ck them!!
Ok, they finally got it out the day after. I put it on, things are ok, nope!! the ram leaks, so I had to take it off and send it back. They said, it will take em 2 hours to fix after they recieve. NOPE, took them 5 days before they sent it back.
While I was driving 2weeks without the RAM, The steering was not as good as I thought. I was fighting the wheel just to turn. It felt like no Power steering at really slow turns, or while trying turn.
On top of things, my box runs supppeerrrrr hot!! I'm talking burn your hand off hot. I have a cooler too.
