    ...but not my giant truck

I want to get back to basics, so it's time to get the K5 rocking and rolling!

    Hoorah!

Well, I love my big truck, but it's gonna be $800 for shafts and $600 in steel to get it going, plus 10 hours or so of mechanical that I don't really like to do, and I'd guess over 100 hours of fab between the cage and front bumper

So I got really sick of it. It's not really practical around here, and looking back, it was more artistic expression than want of off road prowess.

Also, as cool as it is, if I move somehwere I can actually wheel, it would be hell to move

    So yada yada blah blah

Lastely I've been noticing small needs only a truck can fill

So I think, hey sell the big clunker, I'm stuck either way, clean up the shop, and strip out the K5 to utilitarian and go.

I plan to strip out the carpet, take out the top, wire up the things that need it, paint it flat black, make me some 1" Zero Rates, trim it up a bit, and weee.

I've had just as much if not more fun in my K5 as my big truck

I do wish I would have had a chance to see how those 4:88 Locked 38" swampers turned though :D

    Simple life

    Go stockers!

Hey RJ, get yore beast on the road and head this way. Lots of old trails and ghosttowns around here. Sometime this summer I'm gonna take Schofield pass from Gothic/Crested Butte to Aspen.

Sell it as is with extras

It's been fun, but the hell I had to go through at the end broke all my fun memories of it. I'm really not that all sentimental for it, because I spent to much time fighting it and not wheeling it.

It's apporaching rock buggy now anyway

I'm going to get my K5 going

I wish I had the funds to dump the one tons in the K5

    Hmmmmmm

Well, I like fabrication and big part stuff like axle swaps, but I really am going to hate putting a new PS pump and lines in if I don't sell it

If I had someone to help me it'd be different

I hear that. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone around.. even if they do more talking than work. These days I am pretty much stuck doing everything all by my lonesome.. but my girls come out and provide comic relief from time to time.

It was nice when I was younger and all my buddys would come by and help, or just hang out. No neighbors in sight.. so my poor wife has to come out and help when I need it. Glad she's a farm girl... she's pretty strong for her size.
