I've been wrenchin on the blazer chassis all day, and all the bolts that hold the springs at the rear on (3 per side, total of six) were seized so much my impact wouldn't budge them. Either there is something wrong with the impact, or they were actually on there tight. I had to pull out a cheater bar, but even that was tough. So I just got the 3 off of the drivers side, and haven't tried yet because it was getting way to dark out, and I was tired and sore. Anyways, my back hurts because the only thing I could use to unwind them was all my bodyweight/momentum to get them undone. It wasn't the first 2 turns that was hard, the WHOLE thing was hard.
Hopefully my back doesn't hurt worse tomorrow. I am almost done!
See post in garage for what I did today............

I don't even try to remove those bolts the conventional way...life is way to short for that crap!

I use a thin cut-off disc on my 7" grinder between the hanger and the side of the spring. Then, if I'm saving the springs I'll either drill the rubber out around the sleeve, or burn the bushing out, then remove the remains.

At the very least make sure you grease the hell out of the new bolts when it goes together. Better yet is to run ORD's greasable bolts and bushings...

Ah, I guess when I put it back together I could get ORD's greasable bolts wih the bushings. Does it come with 12 bolts all together? (3 per spring) .
I guess I will just cut the rest of the bolts off.
    Thanks Rene

GM's "Heat Valve Lubricant & Penetrating Oil" comes really, really close. Might even be the same stuff.
