I think I tried that one. It's their newest version right? It SUCKED!! it slowed my whole computer down and did weird things. so I went hunting for an older version and saved the install file: I'm using 5.9.3861

i am using it,,,well, figuring it out, there are alot of new little things built into it, but it's not making my computer run any slower.

I have some pretty good anti-spyware stuff running, and this computer is pretty well equipped to NOT run slow:D

DR, do you have an older version of trillian? I downloaded the newest one and it has some idiosycracies (sp?) that I hated badly enough that I went back to the seperate respective programs.

I have the new one and like it just fine. My computer is almost brand new though so I'm sure that helps with the speed issue.

I am not running it yet . Still have the "old" Aim download . The 5.9 is for Windows prior to 2000/XP , and Triton is for 2000/XP . But 5.9 runs fine on XP . SO thats what I run .

I hate all the extra features and all that other "stuff" . I just like to be able to have the large pics visible in the window , and the file transfer stuff .

I really like gaim on my "hobby" box , but not all my favorite windows apps work in linux . And I like the windows classic feel better than any linux desktop out there ( kde would be better if the taskbar didn't look like a cartoon ) .

I use Trillian on my PC, Kopete on my linux machine and Gaim on my laptop

Just like to mix it up, but I never use the vendor's client

I have the latest version. I've been running it for a long time and upgrade each time. I've found it as easy to use as AIM and I like to log onto AIM, Yahoo, and all the others simoultaneously. Get it here: http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/downloads/ I just use the free version. And, I do like the logging feature. Something my boys don't know about yet either.....
