On my carb, Q-jet, the air fuel mixture screws can be adjusted. Some years back, I watched a fellow adjust them using a vacuum guage but I did not pay close attention...
Where does the vacuum guage hook to? Which port exactly? And then what reading to I start adjusting the screws at? Thanks!

You are looking for a full time vacuum source. You are looking for the highest reading possiblewith the one screw, then switch to the other one. Go back and forth until the absolute highest vacuum reading is obtained.

    Hope this helps some....
